KATE WARD'S treble rouser was the highlight of Tyldesley SC's splashdown in the City of Chester open meet at Everton Park. The 14-year-old collected gold in all three of her swims - 200 butterfly, 200 freestyle and 200 IM.

In the same age group Stuart Carlisle also hit gold in the 200 butterfly, following up with silver in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly plus bronze in the 100 backstroke and fourth in the 100 freestyle.

The youngest member of the group, 11-year-old Sarah Wood, was second in the 50 butterfly, third in the 50 backstroke and 100 IM, sixth in the 50 breaststroke and seventh in the 50 freestyle, with PBs in all events.

Kelly Banner took silver in the 13-Year 100 backstroke (PB) and bronze in the 200 IM.

Just missing out on a medal was Jessica Howarth, fourth in the U14s 200 butterfly.

In the Senior League Tyldesley beat Atherton 33-7 and Rochdale 22-18.

In the Junior Swim League Tyldesley lost 57-49 to Eccles.
