POP diva Lisa Stansfield may be preparing to leave her Rochdale roots in search of pastures new.
And while the Lancashire singer may not have Been Around The World to find a possible new abode, she has been spotted looking at a house in Leyland.
Lisa, who's hits include People Hold on and So Natural, has according to locals, been checking out a property on Shady Lane, Clayton-le-Woods.
The house overlooks the picturesque Cuerden Valley Park and, like the majority of the houses in and around Shady Lane, will sell for in excess of £150,000.
The houses on Shady Lane are exclusive and also provide privacy with visibility from the road severely restricted. The road itself is a very quiet, country lane, used primarily for access to the nearby Sue Ryder home.
Ever since she was spotted visiting the house earlier this month, local gossips have been struggling to contain themselves in nearby pubs. One Clayton source said: "People think it would be great if Lisa moved in.
"From what we have been told she has looked at the house once but the owners are remaining tight-lipped.
"The view she would have is second to none, and she would be made most welcome." Lisa's record company, BMG was unable to comment. Other celebrities living nearby include Ken Morley, alias Reg Holdsworth from Coronation Street.
