POLICE are searching for a man who used a young boy to trick his way into a pensioner's home.
The man, in his mid-30s, called at the woman's house in Brownedge Road, Lostock Hall, at around 1.30pm on Saturday, April 25.
He was with a blond-haired boy, who looked about five, and the woman let him in. Once inside he took cash and pension books.
The man was white, slim, 5ft 5ins tall, and wore a short grey jacket. He sounded local.
Three men conned an elderly woman, of Hammond Court, Preston. One distracted her at the front door while another entered the back.
They took two handbags, cash and personal belongings. All the men were white, two were 6ft, with dark hair and aged about 30, one had distinctive brown eyes.
A 16-year-old youth was attacked by two men as he walked through Moor Park, near Garstang Road, Preston, at 8.30pm on Wednesday, April 29.
The men, both on yellow mountain bikes, stole his Vodazap pager, worth £60. One was wearing a black baseball cap, black Adidas tracksuit with the maker's emblem in white on the back of the top, and white trainers. The second has a blond skinhead haircut and wore a red jacket and jeans.
An 18-year-old was punched in the stomach by two men as he walked through Oakham Court, Avenham, at around 11.30pm on Sunday, April 26.
They stole cash from his wallet before escaping. Both were white and about 19. One was 5ft 9ins tall, with short dark hair, and wore a black leather jacket and dark jeans. The other was 5ft 5ins tall, with short bleached hair and a bad complexion. He wore blue jeans and a blue jacket.
A man was punched in the face when he answered a knock at the door of his Mete Street home, in Preston, at around 6.45pm on Thursday, April 30.
A passer-by who tried to stop the attack was knocked to the ground and kicked repeatedly.
One of the attackers was white, in his mid-thirties, 5ft 7ins tall, and wearing blue jeans and a bright blue hat. The other is dark-skinned, 5ft 9ins, balding, and was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, and a dark hat.
