POLICE are appealing for two men, whom they believe witnessed the murder of Newton man John Hasleden five months ago, to come forward.
Mr Hasleden was found dying from a gunshot injury in the car park at Whiston Hospital.
Officers investigating the case would like to speak to a man in a yellow coat who drove John Hasleden to Whiston Hospital on the day he died.
They would also like to locate the driver of a white, four-door saloon who drove the man in the yellow coat away from the hospital.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Evans is appealing to either of the men to come forward and speak to him on or off the record.
If necessary they can also be given police protection.
The inquiry team is also seeking to eliminate a white Mercedes E300D, registration P235 SHG.
Detective Chief Inspector Evans can be contacted at the murder incident room on 0151 777 6588, or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
