THEY say Margaret Hall is ever young on stage.
It was quite logical, then, to cast her 12 months ago as a spiffing schoolgirl in the 20s comedy romp "Daisy Pulls It Off".
A year on and Margaret has aged a little. Next week she plays batty Hattie in "Midsummer Mink", the first play of the season from St Joseph's Players.
"I enjoyed being Daisy," said schoolteacher Margaret. "But Hattie is something special. A crazy lady. I love her!"
Hattie is one of a motley group of aged philanthropists who inadvertently become hilariously entangled in the illegal fur trade. "It's the first time I've played someone so old," added Margaret.
The 50s comedy, directed by Josie Evans, runs for four nights from Tuesday.
Tickets (£3) are selling well at Boardman's, Bradshawgate, Leigh.
