LYTHAM'S new Community YMCA Sports Centre has unveiled more courses to introduce both adults and juniors to new sports and activities.
From May 11, youngsters aged from six to 12 will be able to learn about all aspects of Cricket from Northern League player Bobby Denning.
Bobby is a qualified England Cricket Board advanced coach and his session will begin at 6pm each week and last for two and a half hours.
Depending on numbers involved and ages and abilities, the youngsters will then be split into groups for the following weeks.
The cost of each session is 85p for members and £1.40 for non-members.
Following the success of the Easter soccer course, a second junior course during the Spring bank holiday has been arranged and is available through advanced booking only.
From May 26-29, children will be able to learn more about football from 10am to 3pm each day. The cost is £30 for members and £35 for non-members. Children attending will need football boots and training shoes.
Juniors are also offered the chance to brush up on their racket skills with a four-day tennis course during the May half term.
Former county player Louise Cooper will teach the children, aged from nine to 14, between 10.30am and 3.30pm each day during May 26-29.
The course will cost £35 for members and £40 for non-members and must be pre-booked.
Parents are advised that for all-day courses children should take a packed lunch, some change for drinks, a towel and change of clothes in case of bad weather.
Junior jazz and line dancing classes and adult line dancing classes are also set to get under way.
For more details of any of the courses call 739166, or call into the centre on Mythop Road to see the full range of activities, ranging from Tae Kwon Do to aerobic classes.
