BURNLEY chairman Frank Teasdale and Peter Shackleton were locked in talks at Turf Moor for more than three hours yesterday.
But there is still no indication that Shackleton's takeover bid has moved any further down the line.
The Clarets fan, whose £12 million package has been accepted in principle by the board, has been out of the country attempting to speed up the transfer of long-awaited cash.
And, if the money arrives, Shackleton would be expected to play a part in the selection of a new boss ahead of an extraordinary general meeting.
Both Shackleton and Teasdale were unavailable for comment.
