ENFIELD Cricket Club chairman Geoff Dixon has resigned after losing the support of his committee over an alleged incident of racism.
Vice-chairman and league representative Andy McMinn and committee member Ulrich Alexander have also stepped down.
Milton Berry has taken over as acting chairman.
Tension has surfaced over the way Dixon handled an alleged incident of racism at the club.
He said: "That was just one of the things that brought other things to a head.
"If I haven't dealt with that in the right way then perhaps someone else could do a better job.
"I thought that over recent weeks that I haven't got the full support of one or two members of the committee.
"After 10 years I thought it was perhaps time for a change at the top.
"Perhaps someone could come in with fresh ideas and the club would benefit.
"It has been a privilege and an honour but at times very time consuming. But I will be staying on as a committee member."
