ATTENTION all you pro-traffic-calmers - especially Councillors Dave Hollings, Sue Reid and Dave Smith of Darwen (Letters, May 13) and stalwart council leader George Slynn of Hyndburn.
You are all consistent in your thoughts, so here's something 'right up your street' and should not be ignored. Someone is going to either fall into the Leeds to Liverpool canal this summer or get into difficulties while swimming in it. Drain the canal now before it is too late - or at least have the depth reduced to no more than two feet.
