TORY moves for pensioners and children to pay for prescriptions provoked fury across East Lancashire. Pensioners' groups said they feared the elderly would stop seeking treatment if they had to pay for medicine.
Kevin Durkin, from Age Concern in Blackburn, said: "It's important that older people get the care they need and there are no barriers to them getting it."
