THANK you everyone who kindly sponsored John Holden, from Cherry Tree, Blackburn, who ran in the London Marathon for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, and to those who supported the Breakthrough 'marathon' coffee morning in Ryburn Avenue, Blackburn, on May 2.
The total proceeds from the marathon sponsorship, supporters at the coffee morning and donations amounted to more than £2,500 - a wonderful response in exchange for a magnificent feat.
Further information about Breakthrough Breast Cancer can be obtained either from me (Tel 01254 262324) or Caroline Gilg at head office on 0171 405 5111.
RUTH LOFT, (Volunteer and regional contact for Breakthrough Breast Cancer) 29 Ryburn Avenue, Blackburn.
