IN reply to Mr Norman Pickles' remarks in 'Freemasons not Godless' (Letters, May 15), how can they claim to be Christians, when they deny the faith's founder, Jesus Christ.
Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life and no man comes to the Father but my Me."
The peace Jesus talks about is the peace He gives to His followers - "My peace I leave with you, not as the world gives, give I unto you."
If Mr Pickles believes that leaving Christ out of Masonic ritual will bring peace, he would do well to look back over the last 182 years and count the wars that have taken place and are even now being waged.
Without Christ this world is Godless. I say more power through the Holy Spirit to the pen of the Rev John Corbyn and may many more who name Jesus as their Saviour stand up and be counted.
