HUNDREDS of stunned dairy workers were told at mass meetings that they were being made redundant as a firm's expansion plans left them out in the cold. Bitterness and disbelief greeted the announcement that Associated Dairies, Stanley Street, Accrington, was to close completely.
A management spokesman said 191 out of 350 jobs would go.
