AEROSPACE firms are set for an orders boost following their successful debut at a major European air show.
Cleveland-Guest (Engineering) won a significant order for aero engine components at the air show in Berlin and others who took part are expecting similar success.
Five local firms, including Cleveland-Guest of Colne and AIT of Burnley, took part in the exhibition under the wing of the Consortium of Lancashire Aerospace.
Cleveland-Guest secured an order for work on the BR710 engine programme being developed by BMW/Rolls-Royce.
"This is our first involvement in the new engine programme," said sales and marketing manager Dave Pickup.
"By taking a proactive stance and displaying our rapid response capability we have been able to secure the business.
"This order alone has more than justified our presence at the show."
