ON Thursday, May 14, my wife and I, on our way home from Carlisle to North Wales, decided to call at Hurst Green to visit the grave of a special friend, the late Rev Arthur R Higginson.
We left the M6 at Junction 32 heading for Longridge and got lost.
A very kind lady stopped to help us (we are senior citizens) and gave us directions, but again we took a wrong turning. She had spotted our mistake, followed us to Ribchester and then piloted us to within a mile of Hurst Green Church.
We would like to nominate her 'Angel of the Road' for being so kind and helpful. We did not exchange names, etc., but her car had a personalised number plate with three figures and two letters.
Thanks also to your reporter who dealt with our initial inquiry.
