A COUNCILLOR is recovering in hospital after suffering a heart attack.
Marilyn Brindle has represented Clayton-le-Moors on Hyndburn Council for seven years.
She was taken to Queens Park Hospital, Blackburn, after being taken ill last week.
Fellow councillor Maurice Cowell said she was recovering slowly and the 'deepest thoughts' of the council were with her and her family.
Coun Brindle, of Oxford Avenue, Clayton-le-Moors has served on various council committees, including housing services and personnel and general purposes.
