TYLDESLEY'S Co-op Funeral Home is burying the taboos about funerals.
The Prospect Street funeral business is to open its doors to the public.
The move comes as part of a new initiative to give people an insight into the workings of the funeral business, and anyone interested will be offered behind the scenes tours.
Manager Phil Schofield, said: "Most people will not be involved in organising more than three funerals in their lifetime and as a result it is not something people feel they can openly talk about.
"But we have found people do have a lot of questions which they are afraid to ask, so by opening the funeral home for visits we hope we will be able to tackle the myths and mysteries of the funeral business."
Tours of the branch are available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Call Phil on 01942 882530 to make an appointment.
