CARL FOGARTY believes the World Superbike Championship is his for the taking but only if he can find a consistent streak.
The Tockholes rider showed his erratic form again last week in Spain when he roared back from a disappointing ninth place in race one to win race two.
He said: "It's either something wrong with the bike or myself and it's very frustrating. At the moment I'm winning races but coming seventh or eighth in the next race.
"I need to be finishing first and third or in the top two every time if I am going to win it."
Despite his inconsistent start, the double world champion is still in second place just seven points behind leader Troy Corser - who has still yet to win a race!
Foggy added: "It's been a strange season because nobody seems to be riding with any consistency at the moment. Troy Corser is probably the only rider who is and he hasn't won a race yet."
The Ducati rider will be hoping to be riding a more powerful machine when he is next in action on June 7 at Nurburging in Germany.
