WITH less than 300 working days to the next millennium, a St Helens-based IT specialist is offering companies a 'millennium-proof' test to discover if their computer systems are Year 2,000 compliant.
Bob Haacke, managing director of Information System Networks plc, said: "The Millennium bomb is ticking away yet few organisations seem to be concerned about the devastating effect it could have on their business.
"Financial management and accounting systems play a crucial role in any organisation today so the risks simply cannot be underestimated.
" Businesses such as financial services which deal with date-critical products are already experiencing problems so now is the time to act before it is too late."
ISN is one of a handful of companies of its kind in the UK with the expertise capable of providing a total system solution to the millennium problem.
The company's three divisions provide a comprehensive service including everything from the provision and maintenance of hardware through to cabling, network installation and support, financial applications and systems and programming.
ISN employs a team of programmers who can replace, rewrite, or re-develop other software to meet individual business needs.
All of its engineers are certified by Novotell or Microsoft.
ISN was established in 1987.
It has offices in London; Abingdon, Oxfordshire; and Whitwick in Leicestershire, as well as at St Helens Technology Park, Pocket Nook.
