A DOUBLE bill of entertainment is promised when the stars of tomorrow present two productions in the same week.

Performing arts students from Blackpool and the Fylde College are taking over the Grand Theatre from June 10-13 with performances of the Shakespeare comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream and the musical Hot Mikado.

The former stars Sarah Stone as Titania, queen of the fairies, herself no stranger to the Grand having already appeared there in Kes earlier this year.

Or if you're a musical fan why not take a look at Hot Mikado, a new jazz musical written by David Bell - you've never seen three little maids like these!

Performances for A Midsummer Night's Dream take place at 2.30pm each day while Hot Mikado starts at 7.30pm each night.

However, on June 12 the two will swop places, the latter taking the matinee slot.

Tickets are available from the Grand Theatre box office on 290190.

Special discounts are being offered to Friends of the Grand and groups.

The college has built up a reputation for quality productions and many of today's film and television stars started their careers at the Clifton Drive campus in St Annes.

These include Craig Kelly who played a young American in the blockbuster Titanic, David Thewliss (seen most recently in Seven Years in Tibet) and John Simm (The Lakes on BBC TV).
