SOLICITORS from Burnley Football Club and Peter Shackleton's camp were today still trying to tie up the loose ends of the Turf Moor takeover.
Clarets board members have been told the £1 million 'up front' loan is now in an English bank account. The cash would stay there until the legal experts agree on binding guarantees from both sides.
Once that is settled, the money would be deposited in the Burnley coffers - with an agreement that the rest of Shackleton's £12 million package would follow after an extraordinary general meeting.
Only then would documents be signed allowing an EGM to be called.
The two sets of solicitors are believed to have spoken at length yesterday and directors expect an "imminent" announcement.
