COULD I thank everyone for the marvellous support given to me over the past five years with the sale of plants for Burnley and Pendle Hospice?
Who would have guessed when I bought the first packet of seeds in 1993 that it would grow so big? That year, I grew more than 60 trays of plants and the number has increased every year since.
This year, at the garden party at the hospice on May 20, there were almost 400 trays and hundreds of individual plants, hanging baskets and tubs - of which only a few trays, one hanging basket and one tub were left. The total raised on our plant stall was £1,060. It would not have been possible without the help of many friends who have helped over the years, especially Brenda.
The big question now is: How many trays next year?
Thank-you for all your support.
