ELEVEN people will face trial in April next year charged with the murder of Preston man Stephen McLaughlin.

Last Thursday, the prosecution at Preston Crown Court alleged all were involved in the incident on November 11 last year.

Stephen, 22, of Cemetery Road, Ribbleton, died four days later.

In the dock were Ziah Khan, 23, of Fishwick Parade, Preston; Javed Khan, 25, of Great Townley Street, Preston; Asad Ali, 27, of Salmon Street, Preston; Khalid Khan, 41, from Walkden, near Manchester; Mehboob Ali, 25, of Chaddock Street, Preston; Mohammed Malik, 27, of Arnham Road, Preston; Gurpa Singh, 24, of Deepdale Road, Preston; Nadeem Afzal, 23, of Arnham Road, Preston; Tanveer Yasin, 26, of Dundonald Street, Preston, and Zia Rehman, 29, from Blackburn.

All have denied the charge and a17-year-old from Preston has also pleaded not guilty to the same charge.
