TT specialist Simon Beck is one of the favourites for Saturday's Isle of Man Formula 0ne race.
Simon, of Leyland Road, Penwortham, Preston, has been practising on the famous 37-mile long course this week in preparation for three races in next week's festival.
The 29-year-old Kawasaki rider will be the main rival to spoil Honda's 50th anniversary on the island as he aims to put last year's bad luck behind him.
In the Formula One race Simon, lying a competitive second, ran out of fuel just a mile and a half from the pits. This year, more confident and determined, he believes he can win.
He said: "I think I have a chance of winning all three of the races. The F1 on Saturday will be tough with six or seven riders battling for the win, but I think I can do it."
Simon, with backing from GT Motorcycles, is also racing in next Friday's (June 12) Production and Senior races. However he is not fazed at the prospect of riding over 340 miles in a day.
He said: "I am looking forward to the Production because I am very confident of winning that and as for the senior - well it's the finale to the week so everyone enjoys it."
