LOWER Darwen Post Office could soon be moving premises if a proposal is approved by Post Office Counters.
The business would move from its present address at 31 Fore Street to a more modern site within a newsagent's at 4 Fore Street.
It would incorporate a new two-position counter as well as providing longer opening hours and on-street parking, which is restricted outside the existing location.
Retail network manager for Post Office Counters, Lorna Derravan, said: "The present range of services would still be available.
"The proposal would secure the long-term future of the office and, at the same time, provide improvements in terms of opening hours and access."
