LITTLE Chloe Ainsworth was recovering this week after being savaged by a pet dog.
Four-year-old Chloe, of Chapter Road, Darwen, needed 20 stitches in rips to her face, just below her right eye.
She was playing in the garden of her aunt's home when she was attacked by her aunt's collie cross dog, Charlie.
Chloe was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary where the stitches were inserted and she was kept in overnight for observation.
The dog has since been destroyed.
