WORLD Cup widows can forget their fanatical footballing husbands and shop with a hunk at Burnley's Asda store.
While partners and their pals are slouched on the sofa with lager and crisps watching England V Tunisia on June 15, the Princess Way store is offering women a soccer refuge.
Intershape Gym, Albert Road, Colne, is providing the store with a posse of "shop-a-rones" to be at the beck and call of customers who want a little help to lighten the load.
They will take charge of trolleys or bag a basket, collect any forgotten items and provide an escort to the car.
And during the matches, the store the is giving a red card to all records with a footballing link especially Glenn Hoddle and Chris Waddle's Diamond Lights hit of 1987.
Asda's customer service director Gwyn Burr said: "While more and more men are helping with the weekly shop, all our research tells us that football will come first during June and July."
A mini gym complete with exercise bikes and rowing machines will be set up in the foyer for customers to watch the muscle men work out.
