A RESIDENTS' crusade to scupper plans for a new club in Hyndburn failed as the go-ahead was given to a new snooker centre in a former carpet warehouse in Oswaldtwistle.
Despite a protest against the scheme by 36 residents in Oak Street, the Hyndburn development services committee approved the plans but imposed limited licensing hours to keep drinking times in line with local pubs.
