AFTER battling against leukaemia young Aimee Read is looking forward to a meal of fish and chips!
In just a matter of weeks the youngster of Moorcroft, Edenfield will be out of isolation and able to do what she wants.
Even though Aimee was discharged from hospital in January after undergoing a life-saving operation, the five-year-old has had to be kept indoors and was only allowed contact with close members of her family and the odd trip outdoors.
But her amazing progress means she can get back to having fun with her friends in just three weeks - nearly a month earlier than her parents expected.
Her mum Wendy said: "Aimee is looking brilliant and really looking forward to having a burger or a plate of fish and chips, which she hasn't had for month because of her special diet.
"In three weeks she can start doing what every child can do and start leading a normal life."
