LANCASTER'S mayor Councillor Abbott Bryning unveiled the new scenic map of the city in a special ceremony in Market Square earlier this week. Cllr Bryning enthused "I was impressed by the quality which highlighted the city's historic and compact shopping centre. I felt sure locals as well as tourists will find the map a useful facility"
Adrian Williams, Company Chairman, said "The project was a fine example of co-operation between the public sector in the form of Lancaster City Council and the private sector. That attractive civic amenity was provided at no cost to local rate payers thanks to sponsorship by local businesses which had chosen to promote their company by taking space around the map. The responses were excellent and the result was an amenity of which town could be proud."
