SUMMER fun comes to Blackburn town centre tomorrow with the first in a series of "It's Happening" extravaganzas.
Following on from last year's successful "Blackburn by the sea" festival, traders and shopping centre bosses have teamed up with Blackburn with Darwen Council to provide entertainment for shoppers.
Many stores will put on special promotions, and there will be regular Punch and Judy shows in Victoria Court,
a tombola for the Mayor's charity, and a football treasure hunt at the Blackburn Tourist Information Centre stand.
There will be line dancing and entertainment from the clownish Splott Brothers in King William Square, and a road show hosted by DJ Paul Booth.
Other attractions include:
The People's Show featuring the off beat collections from local people at the Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery.
Farley's World Cup five-a-side soccer competition kicking off at Witton Park and continuing through the weekend.
Various competitions for all the family.
Further "It's Happening" fun days will take place on Sunday June 14, Saturday June 20 and Sunday June 28.
