FIRMS in East Lancashire are being offered the lowdown on the single currency as the countdown to its launch begins.
The Chamber of Commerce believes many firms are not prepared for the impact of other countries in Europe joining EMU on January 1 next year.
The Chamber is organising a seminar on June 29 to look at the implications for local firms.
Speakers include Jeremy Peat, chief economist at the Royal Bank of Scotland, and Tony Strachan from the Bank of England.
