CHURCH workers hoping to extend a lifeline to drug addicted mothers held a presentation day to explain their mission in Blackburn.
The Wellspring Project, formed in 1997, aims to set up Lancashire's first residential rehabilitation unit for women with children.
Blackburn with Darwen mayor Councillor Florence Oldfield and Hyndburn deputy mayor Councillor Bernard Dawson attended the event at St Paul's Methodist Church, Higher Audley Street, Blackburn.
Guest speaker was Angela Harrison, author of the book Crack Head, which is the true story of a mother's fight against drug addiction.
