YOU hardly need to call in Sherlock Holmes to discover that Tony Weymouth and I were colleagues over many years at the University of Central Lancashire. Perhaps we should all congratulate Alecto on being told that Tony is a 'friend, political ally and former academic colleague.' Presumably somebody stopped Alecto in the street and, recognising him instantly, passed on this priceless information - presumably in a secret code! Well done! Would Alecto also like to know that Tony Weymouth is the author of a book on the media entitled 'Markets and Myths.'
Equally, I suppose Sherlock would find it 'curious' that the so-called Mr Waterman seems to be writing from the address of Councillor David Wood.
Even curiouser, the same David Wood I know is also Secretary of the Conservative Group on Lancashire County Council.
In this connection I could well understand his need for anonymity.
