THERE was praise indeed for Morecambe FC at the recent Football Conference AGM in Bristol.
Chairman Mr Bill King said about Morecambe in his report that: "The year has also been of note for Morecambe who lifted the Spalding Cup, opened a welcome partnership with the local authority, completed a new 3,000 capacity stand, brought Christie Park up to football league criteria and delivered another top five finish for the north west coast fans." .
Club Chairman Rod Taylor and manager Jim Harvey received the Spalding Cup to warm applause and Brian Healy was selected for the Conference Team of the Year.
The Board of Directors have regrettably increased the cost of admission for Conference games next season. The modest rise has been forced on the club because of the spiralling costs of travel, overnight accommodation, players wages and general running costs.
The new season ticket prices prior to June 30 are - ground admission £100 (£55) seating £120 (£70)
