AS spectators have given up with Leigh RL in their thousands, I and a few hundred more have foolishly allowed Mr Higgins to retain control over the club by paying our entrance money and Lifeline fees.
I now plead with those people to withdraw that support before the club we love is dragged to new depths of despair.
Mr Higgins doesn't have any strategy to take this club forward, neither does he have the money.
The club must consolidate a top four spot in Division One; it must attract at least 1,000 more through the turnstiles, and it must attract quality sponsorship and the revenues that go with it.
Mr Higgins has shown he is incapable of doing this.
I ask any people who love this club and the town to withdraw any financial support they still have to end the current dictatorship and band together to provide the finances to help "our" club regain its creditability and former status.
I would be interested how many others are now of this viewpoint and are willing to invest multiples of say £10 per month over 2-3 years to allow this to happen.
The Journal could provide an excellent focal point to organise the re-birth of our great heritage.
