A GROUP of swimmers swept the board at an inter-schools competition at Darwen swimming baths, winning five trophies.
Year Five and Six pupils at Holy Trinity CE, Bank Top, competed against 11 other schools in the Darwen Primary Schools' Swimming Gala.
First prizes were won by the girls' team in all three individual races, swimming freestyle, breastroke and backstroke.
The boy's team also won their backstroke and breaststroke races and came third in the freestyle.
Four trophies for the medley and freestyle relays and an overall trophy for best school were presented by Darwen bath's swimming coach, Alan Wilkinson.
Deputy Headteacher, Mike Leighton, said: "The pupils will each go home with a medal and certificate but the trophies will stay here to be engraved.
"Added to the four trophies we won in November and our success in Birkenhead recently, we have done really well."
Four pupils from the girls' team won races in the North West School's Swimming Championship and will compete in the national finals on June 20, in Sheffield.
