A DARE-devil adventurer who took part in a sponsored abseil down the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool, has raised £150 for the Marie Curie Foundation.
Giles Denn, 20 of Reservoir Street, Darwen, (pictured) works at Outdoor Action in King Street, Blackburn, and joined other brave fund-raisers in the all-day event at the hotel. He said: "I've worked for Mountain Rescue, so the abseil wasn't too daunting as I've done it many times before. It was over really quickly after a four-hour round trip the actual abseiling took; just 30 seconds. Everything went smoothly and I'm pleased to have raised £150 for Marie Curie."
