DARWEN Lions will be holding a Vintage Vehicle Road Run as part of their grand annual gala this Sunday.
A convoy of about 60 vehicles, including cars, tractors, lorries and motorbikes, will set off from Darwen Football Ground at 11am and drive up the main A666.
As they head towards the town centre bus station, they will be led by the City of York Scout Band.
The vehicles will then continue down Grimshaw Street and up to the Blacksnape Playing Fields where they will be on display as part of the gala. The event will include arena displays of aerobics and gymnastics, army and emergency service displays, as well as a marching band and a presentation of birds of prey.
Visitors to the free fete will have the choice of charity stalls and games, a funfair, a car boot sale and trade stalls. They will also be given the opportunity to have a got at an army assault course, followed by refreshments.
