LEIGH RMI's bid for Vauxhall Conference football is still gathering pace with three more players pledging their futures to the club.
With top UniBond Premier Division clubs thought to be on the verge of tempting players away from Hilton Park, RMI have followed up the re-signings of Dave Felgate and Dave Ridings with defenders Graham Hill and Stuart Locke and former Manchester United starlet Peter Smyth.
Hill has re-signed for three years while both Locke and Smyth have put their names to two-year deals.
Locke and Smyth were thought to be targets for Stalybridge Celtic, who have just been relegated from the Conference and have appointed ex-RMI assistant manager Kevin Keelan as boss.
Former Leigh player and coach Kevin Booth has also joined the Stalybridge backroom staff.
