RIDERS from Astley & Tyldesley Miners Welfare scored a fine win in their Manchester League Division Two campaign.
They notched 70 points at Bury, beating the home side and Denton (both tied on 63) with Sheffield well back on 15.

A&T hosted the first-ever Veterans Challenge between Manchester and London, every competitor being 50+.
The oldest (Derek Cattle of London) was 68, riding a back he first rode in 1951.
Manchester won 97-83.
At the other end of the spectrum A&T's Damien Hack has been named in the England side for the Junior International against Scotland and Wales.
In Round Three of the British Junior League at Hethersett, A&T took third spot on 98 points.

Lee Smethills scored a great win in the twice re-run U19s Individual Grand Prix Final and now leads the comp.
