KO king Kane Kersnovske smashed Leigh to victory in the Lancashire Knockout.
His knock of 59, including 10 fours, put the side in winning position at 105-1 as they chased Kearsley's 167-9.
Rain led to reduced overs and a new target of 143.
But a middle-order collapse left Leigh on a dodgy 111-6 before Steve Bailey's unbeaten 30 from 27 balls won it with seven balls to spare.
Earlier Steve Duxbury did most of the damage with a career-best 4-53 while Robert Clews held another four catches behind the stumps.
Leigh had again been frustrated by the weather on Saturday at New Brighton.
The home side declared on 125-9, Chris Hall taking 6-33, Clews and slip Andy Mullaney (pictured above in batting mode) taking some fine catches.
With Kersnovske on 29 and Steve Davey on 31, Leigh were cruising at 68-0 when the rain wrecked the day.
GOLBORNE scored a 14-run win against Ribblesdale League side Great Harwood in the Lancashire Knockout. They lost their first three wickets for 20 runs but rallied to a healthy 179-8, Graham Marston hitting 60 and John Waterworth 31 off 20 balls. Marston then chipped in with the ball (4-20), Ewan McCray taking 2-16 to clinch it.
