A QUICK thinking neighbour grabbed an extinguisher and put out a chip pan fire at a house in Berry Street, Burnley.
The fire started at about 11.30pm yesterday when Sharon Lord put the chip pan on and then answered a phone call.
But the neighbour ran into the house and put out the blaze.
The fire damaged the kitchen and units and smoke damaged the kitchen and lounge.
Converted for the new archive on 14 July 2000. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
