RUNNER Sandra Snape raised £2,530 for a children's charity thanks to her efforts in the London Marathon.
Sandra, of Preston New Road, Mellor, raised the cash for the Starlight Foundation which makes the wishes for terminally and seriously ill children come true.
She completed the marathon in 3 hours and 42 minutes and hopes to break 3 hours 30 minutes in the Potteries marathon on Sunday, June 21.
"I was quite happy with my time in London because I got a bad blister at 10 miles so I was a bit uncomfortable for the last 16 miles," said Sandra, who is a member of the Blackburn Road Runners.
She has now raised more than £6,000 for Starlight charity, and thanked all her sponsors, especially her colleagues at Europrint Promotions, Blackburn.
