A TEAM of fund-raisers are preparing to become saddle-sore cyclists as they tackle the 127-mile length of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal this weekend in aid of an East Lancs hospice.
Five staff from Padiham firm Samuel Cooke Fuels were putting the final touches to their marathon bid for pedal-powered cash on Saturday.
They have been training hard and covering lots of miles.
The cyclists, complete with a support team, will set off from Clayton-le-Moors at dawn to tackle half of the route to Leeds.
The next day they will start at Liverpool and wind their way back to Clayton-le-Moors to complete the distance.
Money raised by the event will go to Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle which runs Pendleside Hospice, Reedley.
The team will consist of Paul Clare, David Jones, Jonathon Leach, Daniel Norris and Jack Winder.
