POLICE are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a purse snatch from a woman's bag in the town centre.

The 21-year-old shopper was walking with her boyfriend towards Lloyds Bank at about 4.30pm on Wednesday, June 3, when she was approached by a man who pointed at two other men whom he said had taken her purse from her bag.

After checking her bag, the woman tried to follow the two men but lost them in the town centre.

Both men are described as white, early 20s, about 5ft 9in tall and medium build. One was wearing a maroon tracksuit top and dark trousers, the other was wearing a dark tracksuit top and bottoms.
