A TEENAGER making his way home after a night out required extensive dental treatment after being attacked by a man in the early hours of Saturday, June 6.
The 17-year-old victim and a friend had just crossed over the roundabout at King Street/Kirkland Street to go up Westfield Street at about 2.30am when they were passed by a group of seven or eight men. One of the group then turned back towards the two friends and punched the 17-year-old in the face.
The following day the youth had to have three teeth removed by his dentist, as well as having treatment for damage to several others.
His attacker had short cropped hair and spoke with a Liverpool accent. Anyone able to help police with their inquiries can contact DC Mike Bowes on 0151 777 6876.
