IT'S a case of 'Cheers' for regulars at a Warton pub which has been renamed after the first American president - George Washington.
Formerly the Black Bull, The George Washington pub has recently been refurbished by local brewers, Mitchell's.
The name change has been made to acknowledge the village's historic links with the Washington family. and the pub will also feature a sumptuous 'president's room' complete with a four-poster bed. Mitchell's are also celebrating after extending their interests into Cumbria after purchasing the Welcome Inn in Ulverston and they have just appointed a new area manager, Ian Howlett.
