A GROUND-BREAKING conference aimed at encouraging firms to reduce or recycle waste looks set to make a big impression.
Around 400 places have already been booked for the free Putting Waste to Work conference organised by Pendle Council, the borough's businesses and the Business Environment Association.
It will be held at Northern Technologies business centre, Nelson, next Tuesday and Wednesday and firms across the North have already expressed their interest. Garreth Bruff, of Pendle Council, said: "Bookings have come in thick and fast from as far afield as Manchester and Wakefield.
"There are still some places left and I would urge local companies to get in touch to book as soon as possible because this event could help them save thousands of pounds in the future."
Anyone interested can contact Mr Bruff on 01282 661986 or Mick Smith on 01254 676747 for details.
