ON July 5, chaplains and the NHS in East Lancashire are organising a service of thanksgiving and dedication for current and former staff and volunteers in the NHS in Lancashire to mark the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the NHS in July 1948.

Tickets have been provided via local Health Authorities and NHS Trusts, throughout East Lancashire and the rest of Lancashire, to these groups but there may be retired staff and volunteers with whom we have lost contact who would wish to attend.

There are still a few tickets remaining, and if there are retired staff and volunteers who worked in the NHS in Lancashire who would like tickets, could they please write to me and I will send them on a first come, first served basis.

DAVID PEAT (Ref: NHS 50), Chief Executive, East Lancashire Health Authority, 31/33 Kenyon Road, Lomeshaye Estate, Nelson BB9 5SZ.
